APC Chairman Yilwatda Starts Two-Week Vacation Abroad

Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commenced a two-week vacation outside Nigeria, as announced by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, on Tuesday. The vacation is described as well-deserved following a demanding first year in office.

It aims to provide Yilwatda with time to rest, rejuvenate, and reflect on the APC's development as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections. The APC emphasized that since Yilwatda's assumption of office, he has focused on strengthening the party's internal structures and promoting cohesion among stakeholders.

During this period, he will also fine-tune arrangements for the forthcoming National Working Committee (NWC) retreat, which will review the party's progress and develop strategies for upcoming elections. The APC assured that Yilwatda's temporary absence would not disrupt its activities, as members of the NWC will continue to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the party's constitution.

Yilwatda is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the vacation.
