Northern Governors Mourn Emirs of Gumel and Zurmi

Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Highness Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II, the Emir of Gumel, describing it as a significant loss to Jigawa State, the northern region, and Nigeria. Yahaya highlighted the late Emir's reign, characterized by wisdom, humility, and a commitment to peace-building and community welfare.

He extended condolences to the royal family, the people of Gumel Emirate, and the Jigawa State government, urging them to find solace in the Emir's enduring legacy. Additionally, Yahaya mourned the death of His Royal Highness Alhaji Bello Sulaiman, the Emir of Zurmi in Zamfara State, recognizing his five-year reign dedicated to the peace and wellbeing of his subjects.

Yahaya's messages emphasized the importance of sustaining the values of peace and unity that both Emirs represented.
