APC Chieftain Critiques Kwankwaso, Obi Political Alliance

Faizu Alfindiki, a chieftain of the Progressive Congress APC and former chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government, publicly questioned the political alliance between former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi. Alfindiki accused Kwankwaso of failing to prioritize the unity of the northern region, which he believes is essential for the political future of the area.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano, Alfindiki expressed surprise at Kwankwaso's intent to align with Obi instead of fostering a stronger consensus among influential northern leaders. He argued that the north requires greater unity and cooperation among its political elite to protect the region's interests and strengthen its position in national politics.

Alfindiki further contended that Obi has not shown sufficient concern regarding critical northern challenges such as insecurity, agriculture, and economic development, and he criticized Kwankwaso's reluctance to collaborate with heavyweight northern politicians like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
