APC Chieftain Urges Northern Unity Over Political Ties

Alfindiki Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former chairman of the Kano Municipal Council, expressed concerns regarding the political relationship between Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and Kwankwaso. Speaking to journalists in Kano, Kwankwaso emphasized that the North requires stronger cooperation among its political leaders to protect regional interests and strengthen its voice at the national level.

He criticized Obi for not adequately addressing major issues affecting the North, such as insecurity and agricultural development. Kwankwaso argued that political alliances should be based on shared concerns and a commitment to developing the region.

He urged northern political leaders to unite and work together on pressing issues, particularly in security, agriculture, youth employment, and economic development. Additionally, Kwankwaso praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for ongoing infrastructure projects and expressed support for policies promoting national development.
