Nwobodo Urges South-East to Support Tinubu for 2027

Toni Nwobodo, a prominent chieftain of the APC, cautioned the South-East region against repeating the mistakes made during the 2023 elections. Speaking during a visit to the Enugu South Local Government, he urged the people to support Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections, emphasizing that sentiments should not cloud their judgment.

Nwobodo highlighted the need for the region to prioritize strategic voting, stating that failing to support Tinubu could lead to significant setbacks. He criticized the previous administration's performance and warned that mistakes in voting could result in long-term consequences for the region.

Nwobodo also referenced former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi, who he claimed lacked moral authority to advise the region, given his past tenure. He praised the collaboration between the federal government and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, particularly in revitalizing infrastructure projects.

Nwobodo, who has lived abroad for three decades, defended the necessity of taxation for infrastructural development.
