APC Coalition Endorses Salihu for Kwara Governorship

The coalition of young stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has publicly backed Yakubu Danladi Salihu as their preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship elections. This endorsement was made during a press conference on Friday, where Abiola Nasir, the coalition coordinator, emphasized the need for dialogue to address disputes stemming from recent primary elections.

The coalition reaffirmed its support for the current administration led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, highlighting Salihu's leadership experience and grassroots appeal as vital for sustaining the governor's developmental agenda. Nasir noted the administration's achievements since taking office in 2019, including the establishment of the Kwara Innov Hub and improvements in education and healthcare.

The coalition urged aggrieved APC members and aspirants to utilize internal party mechanisms to address grievances and stressed the importance of unity to preserve the gains of the current administration. Additionally, they expressed appreciation for President Bola Tinubu's renewed hope agenda, which aligns with Kwara's development efforts.
