APC Congress in Bayelsa: Diri Praises Member Integration

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the APC congress aimed at integrating both old and new members. Speaking at the local government congress held at the party headquarters in Kaiama, Diri noted that there is no longer a distinction between old and new members within the APC in the state.

He emphasized the importance of unity in the party to ensure success in the upcoming local government elections, predicting that the APC would secure a significant majority. Diri highlighted that the party's leadership is committed to working together to achieve electoral success, aiming for a 95 percent vote in the next elections.

The congress saw the election of Marlin Daniel as chairman and Panebi Dipagha as a member of the executive committee, with the Independent National Electoral Commission overseeing the process. Diri assured that the party would adhere to legal frameworks and maintain consultative decision-making.
