Diri Praises Peaceful APC Ward Congresses in Bayelsa

Senator Douye Diri, the Governor of Bayelsa State, commended the peaceful conduct of the APC ward congresses held across the state. Speaking at the congress in his hometown of Sampou, Diri congratulated party delegates for their unanimous election of new leadership in the wards.

He emphasized that politics should unite people rather than divide them, aiming for community development. The congress was reported to be largely rancor-free, and Diri expressed optimism for similar outcomes in the upcoming local government congress and state congress.

He thanked the APC national executive council and the state caretaker committee led by Dr. Denni Otiotio for their roles in ensuring a peaceful process.

Mr. Shedrach Fetuga was elected chairman of the new leadership in Sampou Kalama Ward 6, alongside other executives.

Fetuga vowed to ensure the APC becomes victorious in the 2027 gubernatorial elections.
