Diri Inaugurates RHA Coordinators, APC Congress Panels

On February 13, 2026, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri inaugurated the RHA local government coordinators and APC congress panels, aiming to strengthen the party's presence ahead of the 2027 presidential elections. During the inauguration, held at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, Diri charged the local government coordinators to mobilize party members at the ward and local government levels to ensure the success of the APC.

Chief Tiwei Orunimigh was appointed to lead the local government coordinators, while Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, former governor of Delta State, provided guidance. Diri cautioned party leaders against divisive tendencies and urged them to focus on the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu.

The meeting also established committees for overseeing the party's ward congresses, with significant figures such as Dr. Denni Otiotio and former Deputy Governor Peremobowei Ebebi involved.

The congresses are scheduled for February 18-21, 2026, with state congresses on March 1, 2026.
