APC Accuses Osun Government of Instigating Political Crises

Officials from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, led by Barrister Adegoke Ogunsola, have accused the state government of deliberately instigating political crises. This accusation follows a recent judgment from the Federal High Court in Osogbo, which the APC claims the state government misinterpreted.

The court had dismissed a suit filed by the APC regarding the reinstatement of its chairmen and councillors, which sought judicial interpretation of the commencement date of their tenure under Osun State law. The APC argues that the state government's actions could lead to public disorder, particularly following the dismissal of the suit on June 15, 2026.

They further criticized Governor Ademola Adeleke's request for police protection for individuals involved in local government elections, asserting that the elections held on February 22, 2025, were invalid. The APC urged residents to maintain peace and warned against any attempts to enforce disputed interpretations of the court's judgment.
