APC Declares Borno Reps Primary Inconclusive

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the House of Representatives primary election for the Askira-Uba/Hawul federal constituency in Borno State inconclusive. This decision was announced by the chairman of the election committee, Prophet Jone Od, during a briefing at the APC secretariat in Maiduguri on Sunday.

The inconclusiveness follows complaints submitted by aspirant Audu Garba Zali. The committee is currently awaiting a report from the appeal committee before announcing the final results for the constituency.

However, the committee did announce results for other federal constituencies in the state, where Mustapha Abdullahi Abdulkadir Rahi emerged as the winner with 20,509 votes out of 38,576 cast. The election process was monitored across 27 local government areas and 312 wards in the state, with oversight from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies.
