APC Declares Rivers Assembly Primaries Winners Amid Peace

The All Progressives Congress (APC) declared the results of the Rivers State Assembly primaries, with Martin Amaewhul emerging as the candidate for the Obio Akpor Federal Constituency, having scored 17,968 votes. Wahab Owokoniran, the chairman of the APC primary election committee, announced the results at the party's secretariat in Port Harcourt.

The primaries were conducted peacefully, contrary to expectations of unrest in the state. Other notable results included Dumnamen Dekor winning the Khana Gokana Federal Constituency with 17,073 votes, and Felix Nweke winning the Elem Tai Oyigbo Federal Constituency as the sole aspirant with 18,605 votes.

The elections took place on Saturday, with Owokoniran expressing surprise at the peaceful atmosphere during the primaries. The results included various constituencies, with candidates declared winners based on their respective vote counts.
