Obasa, Buhari's son win APC tickets for 2027 elections

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, have secured tickets from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming 2027 House of Representatives elections. The APC conducted its primary elections on Saturday across 360 federal constituencies nationwide, disqualifying 14 aspirants in various states, including Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers.

In Rivers State, the APC declared Martin Amaewhul as the winner of the primary elections, alongside other loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The party disqualified four aspirants, including three current members of the House of Representatives, from contesting in the elections.

This development is part of the APC's strategy to solidify its position ahead of the 2027 elections.
