APC Demands Probe After Woman Dies in Party Primary Violence

Taliat Simbiat, a member of Ward 3 in Iwo, died during the Osun Accord Party primary, which was marred by violence. The APC's Osun State Governorship Campaign Council, represented by Remi Omowaiy, called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and the injuries sustained by over 30 individuals during the event.

Omowaiy criticized the violence and urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to fully cooperate with law enforcement to identify and prosecute those responsible. Adeleke expressed profound sorrow over Simbiat's death, describing her as a virtuous woman whose impact on society would be sorely missed.

He condemned the violence and emphasized the need for peaceful conduct in political activities, rejecting allegations of thuggery against the APC and calling for justice for all affected individuals.
