APC Denies Involvement in Attack on NNPP Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a denial regarding allegations of its involvement in an attack on members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State. The incident reportedly occurred during a political gathering in Ruwan Bago Ward, located in the Rogu Local Government Area.

In a statement released on Sunday, the APC's Kano State chapter characterized the allegations as baseless and an attempt by the NNPP to divert attention from internal crises within their party. The statement, signed by the party's public secretary, emphasized that the APC is committed to lawful political engagement and peace, and it condemned any form of violence against political party members.

The APC also expressed curiosity over why the NNPP chose to accuse them instead of addressing the growing internal tensions arising from political realignments within their ranks. Furthermore, the APC called for a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident and urged security agencies to ensure that anyone found culpable faces the full weight of the law, irrespective of political affiliations.
