Kano APC Demands NNPP Retract Judicial Influence Claims

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has given the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) a 72-hour ultimatum to retract allegations that the Kano State government, led by Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, influenced court proceedings. The ultimatum was communicated by APC spokesperson Auwalu Soja Gwale, who described the allegations made by NNPP spokesperson Ibrahim Karay as false and malicious.

The APC warned that failure to comply would result in legal action for defamation against NNPP. The APC specifically denied claims that the state government paid large sums to influence proceedings in the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.

The party characterized the allegations as part of a reckless pattern by the NNPP, particularly when political outcomes do not favor them. The APC urged the NNPP to focus on resolving its internal leadership disputes rather than making unfounded accusations against the judiciary.
