APC Set to Gain from PDP, ADC Crises in Kebbi State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is strategically positioned to benefit from the ongoing internal crises within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State. APC spokesperson Issa Abubakar Asalafi noted that the disputes within the PDP have led to significant defections, including that of the PDP's 2023 governorship candidate, Aminu Band, to the ADC.

Meanwhile, the ADC is struggling with its own leadership faction disputes. Asalafi emphasized that the internal divisions within these opposition parties weaken their chances in future elections.

He expressed optimism about the APC's ability to maintain its dominance in Kebbi, anticipating strong victories in the 2027 elections. The APC has already seen three senators and several House of Representatives members defect from the PDP, reflecting growing confidence in the party's leadership.

Asalafi urged the opposition parties to resolve their internal disputes to avoid undermining democratic competition.
