APC: Imo Stakeholders Demand National Publicity Secretary Slot

Imo stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) are demanding that the national publicity secretary slot be given to someone from their state once the tenure of the current National Working Committee (NWC) expires later this year. Various groups, including the Coalition Progressive Voice and Ohanaeze Political Alliance, have called for Imo State to be considered for this position, highlighting the state's consistent support for the APC in the Southeast region.

They argue that Imo has competent professionals in the field of political communication who have demonstrated loyalty to the party. Chief Kelechi Onyenaucheya and Barr Theodore Ogbuehi are among the voices advocating for Imo to be rewarded with the National Publicity Secretary role to strengthen the APC's brand in the region and ensure inclusivity.

The stakeholders are mobilizing support and engaging in negotiations ahead of the upcoming national convention in early 2026 to address perceived imbalances and consolidate the party's influence in the Southeast.
