APC Promises Jobs and Infrastructure in Osun Campaign

On Friday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) ramped up its governorship campaign in Orolu, Irepodun Local Government Areas, and Osogbo, ahead of the August 15 election in Osun State. The campaign was led by APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, and the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji.

They visited Ifon-Orolu, Erin, Ilobu, and Osogbo, engaging with traditional rulers and community leaders. Basiru urged voters to support the APC, arguing that having a governor from the same party as the Federal Government would enhance cooperation and attract development.

He highlighted the increase in federal allocations since President Bola Tinubu took office, noting that allocations rose from ₦586 billion in April 2023 to over ₦2.7 trillion by June 2026. Basiru criticized the lack of development in Osun despite these funds and promised community intervention projects.

He emphasized the need for educational reform, citing a shortage of 28,000 teachers. Oyebamiji assured equitable governance and balanced development across all communities.
