Borno Senators Secure APC Primaries Return Tickets

In the recent APC primaries, Ali Ndume, the Chief Whip of the Senate, and other senators from Borno State secured their return tickets. Abdullahi Askira, who was Ndume's main challenger, voluntarily withdrew from the race after consulting with party stakeholders across the district.

Askira, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, made this decision based on appeals from APC leaders in the Borno South senatorial zone. Ndume, expressing gratitude towards the APC stakeholders and delegates for their support, commended Askira's decision as exemplary loyalty to the party.

He emphasized the importance of unity among APC members in the district and encouraged them to work together politically as they approach the general elections.
