Daramola Defeats Incumbent in APC Primaries for Okitipupa

In the APC primaries held on Saturday across 23 wards in the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Daramola emerged victorious, defeating the incumbent Hon. Jimi Odimayo with a significant margin, receiving 6,547 votes compared to Odimayo's 827 votes.

This victory is seen as a major development in the political landscape of the constituency, reflecting a growing demand among party members and residents for a fresh approach to leadership. Daramola acknowledged the support from Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other party leaders, describing the victory as a testament to the trust placed in him by the party and the people.

He pledged to focus on representing the interests of the constituency and accelerating inclusive development. Daramola also commended the efforts of party officials and security personnel for ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and expressed support for the administration of Governor Aiyedatiwa and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to attract development projects and youth empowerment programs to the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
