Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa Warns APC Aspirants on Politics

During a stakeholders meeting held at the Akure Township Hall, Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State warned APC aspirants against the practice of "do-or-die" politics as the party prepares for its upcoming primary elections. He stressed that candidates should be selected based on merit and loyalty rather than through contentious means.

Aiyedatiwa urged the aspirants to remain calm and respect the party's decisions, emphasizing the need for unity and discipline within the APC. He reaffirmed the party's supremacy and described himself as the leader of the state party.

The governor also indicated that the party may adopt either direct primaries or a consensus arrangement, depending on the agreement among stakeholders. He called on aspirants to accept the outcomes of the primaries maturely and reiterated the party's support for all members.
