APC Primaries in Bayelsa: Diri Praises Unity and Peace

During the APC primaries in Bayelsa State, Governor Douye Diri stated that the party is united as one family. The primaries were held in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, where Hon.

Oforji Oboku won the party's ticket with 2,565 votes from 3,411 registered members. Chief Solomon Ogba, the chairman of the electoral panel, disclosed that the party adopted direct primaries to select its candidates for the national assembly.

He pledged to conduct fair and transparent elections, ensuring that only individuals of proven integrity are selected. Ogba also called for support from party members and the public to ensure a smooth process.

Governor Diri commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the primaries, which he noted would help the APC maintain unity and avoid divisions ahead of the upcoming general elections.
