APC Rep Clement Jimbo Denies Defection to ADC

Clement Jimbo, a member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has publicly refuted reports suggesting he plans to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a statement released via his media team on Facebook, Jimbo described the allegations as malicious and libelous, asserting that they are baseless claims that do not warrant a response.

He highlighted his recent active participation in APC activities, including a delegation led by him to a state congress held at Uyo Township Stadium on March 3, 2026. Jimbo questioned the rationale behind abandoning the party, which he has worked tirelessly to strengthen over the years, especially after contributing to APC's victory in the 2023 general elections.

He concluded by warning against the spread of false information and reaffirmed his commitment to the APC, welcoming constructive criticism but rejecting character assassination.
