APC Aspirant Ajibola Petitions Over Withheld Nomination Form

Hon. Ishaq Morufat Ajibola, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing the Ibadan Northeast and Ibadan Southeast federal constituencies, has filed a petition with the party regarding the alleged withholding of her nomination form.

Ajibola participated in the APC national assembly primary elections on May 16, 2026, where she was declared the winner. Despite this declaration, she has not received the necessary nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is required for her candidacy.

In her petition dated July 13, 2026, addressed to the Oyo State APC chairman, she urged the party leadership to rectify this situation, claiming it undermines the party's internal democratic process. Ajibola expressed concern over the delay in receiving her nomination form, which she argues prejudices her rights as a candidate.

She has given the party a seven-day window to resolve the matter and has indicated her willingness to seek legal options if necessary.
