APC Ticket Hijack Allegation in Saki West Constituency

Hon. Ismail Adewoyin, a representative aspirant for the Saki West/Saki East/Atisbo federal constituency, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of hijacking the party's ticket.

In a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, Adewoyin criticized the candidate selection process for the 2027 general elections, alleging that the party's consensus candidate, Hon. Tajudeen Kareem, benefited from a flawed selection process.

Adewoyin questioned the legitimacy of the APC's primary elections, stating that the current member representing the constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Kareem, emerged as the party's candidate despite claims of irregularities.

He noted that the APC's primary elections were marred by issues such as the seizure and destruction of party membership cards meant for accreditation. Adewoyin expressed confusion over how Kareem's name appeared on the purported final list of candidates, asserting that there was no valid law to transparently monitor the conduct of the primary elections.

He vowed to pursue all legitimate avenues within the party to seek justice.
