APC Revises 2027 Election Timetable and Payment Details

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a revised timetable for the 2027 general elections, which includes the sale of nomination forms from April 25 to May 2, 2026, with the submission of completed forms closing on May 4, 2026. Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 6 to May 9, 2026, covering candidates for state houses of assembly, house of representatives, senate, governorship, and presidential positions.

The primary elections will commence on May 15, 2026, starting with the house of representatives and concluding with presidential primaries on May 23, 2026. The costs for expressing interest in nomination forms vary, with fees set at N1,000,000 for state houses of assembly, N5,000,000 for house of representatives, N9,000,000 for senate, N17,000,000 for governorship, and N30,000,000 for presidential aspirants.

The APC has designated specific bank accounts for payment, including Union Bank PLC, UBA PLC, and Zenith Bank PLC. This revision aligns with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 and aims to streamline the internal processes of the party ahead of the elections.
