APC Rules Out Automatic Tickets for National Assembly Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially dismissed the speculation regarding automatic tickets for its National Assembly members in upcoming elections. During a media chat in Abuja, APC Chairman Yilwatda emphasized that the party's constitution and the electoral act do not permit the promise of automatic tickets to any member.

He clarified that candidates must emerge through a defined process, which includes either consensus or direct primaries, as stipulated by the party's guidelines. Yilwatda noted that the performance of current members will be a significant factor in their re-election, and the party will judge their performance accordingly.
