APC Alters Primary Election Results After NWC Review

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that some initial winners of its primary elections have been altered after a review by the National Working Committee (NWC). This decision follows the receipt of over 700 petitions from aggrieved members regarding the primary elections held nationwide.

Felix Morka, the party's National Public Secretary, stated that the review aimed to ensure valid nominations and correct structural issues identified in the process. The NWC's recommendations led to the alteration of certain outcomes to promote peace ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC is currently focused on ensuring that all candidates complete their nomination forms and meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadlines. Additionally, the Progress Governors Forum (PGF), led by Hope Uzodimma, is working to address internal party issues and enhance cohesion as the party prepares for future electoral challenges.
