APC Primaries Results Await Final Verification Amid Complaints

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing to announce the results of its primaries, with uncertainty surrounding the candidates' fates. The National Working Committee (NWC) will conduct a final verification of the results before any official declarations can be made.

As of now, neither the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has certified any returns nor has the party awarded flags to winners. Complaints have arisen regarding the conduct of the primaries across various states, including Nasarawa, Bauchi, Kwara, Oyo, Delta, and Kogi.

Former INEC Commissioner Nick Dazang stated that the NWC insists on ratifying the results, as per the party's constitution. Additionally, there are allegations of irregularities in the governorship primaries, particularly in Nasarawa, where former Deputy Senate President Ovi Omo Agege has raised concerns.

The APC's NWC is expected to meet soon to evaluate the submitted reports and finalize the candidate list for the upcoming elections.
