APC Reviews 720 Petitions After Primaries, Ensures Fairness

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that it reviewed over 720 petitions from aggrieved aspirants after the conduct of its primaries. Felix Morka, the APC spokesman, stated that the party's decisions were made in accordance with its constitution and guidelines for primary elections.

He emphasized that the appeal process was integral to addressing grievances arising from the primaries, which included mechanisms designed to ensure fairness. Morka dismissed claims that the party awarded tickets to individuals who neither purchased nomination forms nor participated in the primaries.

He acknowledged that disputes are inevitable in competitive elections but assured that every complaint was thoroughly reviewed. Morka also refuted suggestions that the review process was manipulated to settle political disputes involving influential party leaders or governors.

He reiterated that the APC remains focused on securing victories in upcoming elections, having won every election conducted in 2023, and emphasized the party's commitment to a fair electoral process.
