APC Comments on Governor Bala Mohammed's Defection Rumors

Muhammad Hassan, the Bauchi State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to rumors about Governor Bala Mohammed's possible defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. In an interview, Hassan clarified that any intention to defect would start at the ward level, emphasizing that the process of joining the APC begins with grassroots involvement.

He noted that the local party leadership would be the first to be informed of any such move by the governor. Nuhu Muhammad, the APC chairman of Yuli ward in the Alkaleri local government area, also commented, indicating that there has been no official communication regarding Governor Mohammed's plans to switch parties.

The APC leadership in Bauchi is prepared to receive the governor if he formally indicates his interest in joining the party.
