APC Denies Withdrawal of 2027 Presidential Campaign List

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially denied rumors regarding the withdrawal of its recently released list for the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council. Felix Morka, the party's National Publicity Secretary, clarified in an interview with The Cable that any modifications to the list would be communicated officially.

This denial came after reports suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had ordered the withdrawal and review of the 223-member campaign council list released by the party on Saturday. The concerns prompting this review were linked to the composition of the council and the omission of certain party leaders and political stakeholders.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to chair the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, serving as Vice Chairmen I and II, respectively. Additionally, former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, will serve as Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, will be the Secretary of the council.
