APC Stakeholders Protest Candidate Imposition in Adamawa

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State staged a protest against the alleged imposition of a candidate for the House of Representatives primary elections. The demonstration occurred at the APC zonal secretariat in Numan, where various groups, including youth and women, voiced their grievances.

They claimed that the primary was manipulated to favor Mr. Kwamoti La Ori, which they argued undermined the democratic process.

Protesters carried placards with messages such as "No Imposition, Let People Decide" and insisted that grassroots members should be allowed to choose their representatives without interference. They accused Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of betraying their trust and undermining the leadership's credibility.

The protest highlighted concerns over the internal democracy of the APC and warned of potential electoral setbacks in the upcoming 2027 elections if the issues were not addressed. The protesters called for the cancellation of the alleged imposition and demanded a fair and transparent primary election process.
