APC Wins Two House of Assembly Seats in Kano By-elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) successfully won two seats in the House of Assembly by-elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano State. The elections were held to fill vacant legislative positions in the Ungogo constituency of Kano Municipal.

INEC declared APC candidate Aliyu Nabil Daneji as the winner with 7,484 votes, defeating eight other contestants. The results were announced by Prof.

Ibrahim Tajo Siraj, who commended the security agencies and electoral personnel for ensuring a smooth and orderly process. Despite the APC's clear margin of victory, the elections were marked by low voter turnout across several polling centers, which electoral officials attributed to voter apathy, political fatigue, and the ongoing Ramadan fast.

Daneji expressed gratitude to the constituents for their participation and pledged to justify their confidence in him. Additionally, Aminu Sa'ad was declared the winner of another seat with 8,975 votes, defeating Prof.

Abdullahi Tijjani Abdullahi.
