APC Youth Launch ₦17.5m Grant for Renewable Energy

The youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unveiled a ₦17.5 million grant to support President Bola Tinubu's renewable energy vision during a ceremony in Abuja on Monday. The grant is part of the Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship, which aims to promote innovation and youth participation in Nigeria's energy sector.

APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel emphasized the importance of addressing the country's energy challenges, stating that inadequate power generation and distribution significantly affect the economy. The fellowship is designed to equip young professionals with knowledge and skills related to renewable energy and climate action.

It will also foster partnerships with government agencies like the Energy Commission of Nigeria and the Rural Electrification Agency. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is involved in the fellowship, which seeks to develop sustainable solutions to Nigeria's energy crises.

The initiative aims to empower young Nigerians to engage with policymakers and contribute to the country's energy ecosystem.
