APGA Sets N75m for Presidential Forms in 2026 Elections

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially released a timetable for its primary elections, which are set to take place on May 23, 2026. The party has pegged the cost of presidential nomination forms at N75 million.

Other nomination form costs include N25 million for presidential aspirants, N6 million for Senate candidates, N4 million for House of Representatives, N10 million for governorship, and N2 million for state House of Assembly. The sale of expression of interest forms will occur from April 20 to May 8, 2026, with screening for national assembly aspirants on May 11, state House of Assembly on May 12, and gubernatorial candidates on May 13.

This timetable aligns with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) schedule for the 2027 general elections, which is set for February 26, 2026. The announcement was made in a statement issued by Ejimofor Opara, accompanying a table showing the dates and costs associated with the elections.
