APM Candidate Donates N2.5M to Oyo Fire Victims

Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate for the All Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, donated N2.5 million to support victims affected by a fire outbreak at Bode Market in Ibadan. The incident, which occurred in the early morning, resulted in extensive damage, particularly to the herbal section of the market, a major trade hub in the region.

Eyewitness Serifat reported that the fire destroyed goods worth millions of naira, leaving traders counting their losses. Adekanmbi expressed sympathy for the affected families and business owners, describing the incident as painful.

He urged victims to remain hopeful despite the unfortunate circumstances. The donation aims to provide immediate relief and demonstrate solidarity with those impacted by the disaster.

Adekanmbi also highlighted the need for improved safety measures in markets across the state, including better fire prevention facilities and emergency response systems. He called on individuals to assist victims in rebuilding their businesses and restoring their livelihoods.
