APM's Adekanmbi Donates N2.5m to Bode Market Fire Victims

On Tuesday, Bimbo Adekanmbi, a governorship candidate for the Alliance for Peace and Movement (APM) in Oyo State, visited Bode Market in Ibadan to support traders affected by a recent fire incident. During the visit, Adekanmbi was the first prominent political figure to identify with the victims, touring the damaged sections of the market alongside market leaders to assess the extent of the destruction.

He announced a donation of N2.5 million to provide immediate relief to the traders who suffered losses due to the inferno. Adekanmbi expressed sadness over the incident, describing the fire as a painful setback for hundreds of families whose livelihoods depend on the market.

He urged the affected traders not to lose hope and assured them that they would overcome the challenges. Adekanmbi called for coordinated support from the public and private sectors, as well as financial institutions and philanthropists, to aid in rebuilding the market and restoring economic activities for the traders.
