Atiku Urges Tinubu to Resign Over PFIPC Scandal

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged President Bola Tinubu to apologize to Nigerians and resign due to the controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). In a statement released on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku highlighted conflicting testimonies from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), which he claims have led to a credibility crisis for Tinubu's administration.

Atiku stated that if Tinubu does not initiate an independent investigation and hold accountable those responsible, he has lost the moral authority to govern. He criticized the lack of public communication from the Attorney-General of the Federation and called for the National Assembly to summon the Accountant-General and the CBN Governor to clarify the discrepancies.

Atiku emphasized that the PFIPC scandal reflects on Tinubu's integrity and competence, urging immediate action to restore public trust.
