Atiku's Aide Urges Tinubu to Show Accountability Amid Arrest

Atiku Abubakar's media aide has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to demonstrate accountability regarding the arrest of Paul Adeyemi, the father of Adeniyi Adeyemi, amid the PFIPC scandal. The aide condemned the arrest, describing it as nonsensical and asserting that there is no legal basis for arresting family members of suspects with no connection to alleged crimes.

The aide emphasized that the so-called PFIPC does not exist and is merely a manifestation of Tinubu's governance, contrary to claims of defending the late President Muhammadu Buhari's administration. The aide also criticized the incompetence of senior government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, ministers of finance, and regulatory agencies, stating that they should not look for scapegoats.

The aide demanded the immediate release of Paul Adeyemi, asserting that the buck stops with Tinubu, who must fulfill his oath of office.
