Amadi Advocates for Poverty Alleviation in Imo State

Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi, the Action Peoples Party (APP) candidate for the Imo East senatorial district, has called for an end to the cycle of poverty in Imo State. Speaking at the annual August Meeting of the Women’s Wing of the Okpulla Amakaohia Development Union (OADU) in Ikeduru, he urged women to leverage their influence for accountable representation.

Amadi highlighted the worsening socioeconomic conditions in the state, citing issues such as poor healthcare, infrastructural deficits, and unemployment as results of years of ineffective representation. He expressed concern for women, who are disproportionately affected by economic hardship, and encouraged them to vote for leaders who can deliver development.

During the event, he donated ₦500,000 for the medical treatment of an elderly woman and announced a ₦3 million contribution to OADU's development initiatives. Mrs. Victoria Ugochi Chukwu, the National Vice President of OADU Women’s Wing, thanked Amadi for his support and commitment to community development.
