Imo APP Candidate Urges Women to Influence Elections

Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi, the Action Peoples Party (APP) candidate for the Imo East Senatorial District, addressed women at the annual August Meeting of the Women’s Wing of the Okpulla Amakaohia Development Union (OADU) in Ikeduru Local Government Area, Imo State. He encouraged women to utilize their numerical strength and grassroots influence to demand accountable and effective representation through voting.

Amadi commended the women for their significant contributions to community development. He expressed concern over the deteriorating socioeconomic conditions in the state, citing issues such as poor healthcare delivery, infrastructural deficits, declining standards in public schools, bad roads, unemployment, and economic hardship.

He attributed these challenges to years of inadequate representation and misplaced priorities, urging governments and elected officials at all levels to be more responsive to the needs of ordinary citizens.
