APPON Workshop Set for April 2026 to Enhance Procurement

The Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (APPON), Lagos State Chapter, announced plans to hold a capacity-building workshop scheduled for April 2, 2026, at Adeyemi Bero Hall, Alausa, Lagos. The workshop's theme is "Strengthening the Procurement System for Sustainable Development," designed to enhance the professional competence of procurement practitioners across federal, state, and local government institutions.

The event will gather policymakers, regulatory agencies, and private sector stakeholders to discuss emerging challenges and innovative approaches in procurement practices to improve service delivery. Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is expected to be a special guest, with Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adebwale Adedokun, delivering the keynote address.

Other speakers include Fatai Idowu from the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency and Adeola Oduntan, a global sourcing supply chain expert from MTN. APPON emphasizes that an efficient procurement system is vital for sustainable development and prudent management of public resources.
