BPP to Host Stakeholder Meetings on Procurement in Lagos

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is set to hold consultative meetings with contractors and stakeholders in Lagos on February 26 at the Sheraton Hotel Ikeja. This initiative aims to support the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) partnership and engage various actors in Nigeria's public procurement ecosystem.

The forum will focus on discussing methodologies to assess the procurement system and map a framework to enhance its role in strengthening public procurement processes in the country. A statement issued by the head of the press and public relations unit of the BPP, Mr.

Zira Zakka Nagga, outlined the objectives of the meeting, which include engaging contractors, consulting service providers, and civil society organizations. The goal is to create a dialogue that maps the framework's benefits for Nigeria's procurement system and provides stakeholders with an opportunity to offer feedback and input in developing the national procurement strategy.

The meeting is intended to align with Nigeria's procurement reform agenda and highlight the role of stakeholders in its successful implementation.
