Araraume Disowns False Statement on Imo APC Primary

Ifeanyi Araraume, a former senator representing Imo North, disowned a statement circulating on social media about the Imo APC primary, describing it as false and unauthorized. In a communication released on Wednesday, Araraume distanced himself from the message, which expressed gratitude and a call for unity to rebuild the Okigwe Zone.

He insisted he neither authored nor approved the statement, which he claimed was the work of mischief-makers aiming to mislead the public and create unnecessary tension within the APC in Imo State. Araraume reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, stressing his commitment to discipline and the party's rules.

He awaits the party's official position on the Imo North senatorial primary and emphasized that he has not declared himself a candidate. Furthermore, he dismissed claims of a rift with Governor Hope Uzodimma, describing their relationship as cordial and built on mutual respect.

Araraume urged APC members and the public to disregard the misleading statement.
