Abiodun Critiques Politicians Advocating Fuel Subsidy Return

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun publicly criticized politicians who are advocating for the return of fuel subsidy, questioning their sanity during a rally organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC). He responded to opposition politicians, including Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, who have criticized President Bola Tinubu regarding the management of funds saved from the removal of the fuel subsidy.

Abiodun asserted that state governors should be held accountable for these funds, as they have seen increased allocations from the Federation Account due to the subsidy removal. He emphasized that these additional funds have been utilized for financing infrastructure and development projects within their states.

Abiodun expressed confidence that the APC would decisively defeat opposition parties in the upcoming elections, stating, “Go and tell your people that all of them are not up to one. We will defeat them mercilessly.”.
