Arewa Youths Reject Impeachment Calls for Governors Abiodun, Mbah

The Arewa Youth Assembly, through a statement issued by the Northern Progress Youth Vanguard (NPYV) chairman, Alhaji Shehu Usman Jubrin, has publicly dissociated itself from calls for the impeachment of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah. The group described the impeachment demand as strange, unnecessary, and politically motivated, asserting that it stems from political enemies of the governors.

The NPYV emphasized that the call does not reflect the views of the youth population across the 19 northern states, who belong to various political ideologies. They criticized the faceless group behind the impeachment call, urging Nigerians to disregard it as a ploy by disgruntled politicians.

The statement also highlighted that the Arewa Youths are focused on addressing pressing issues such as insecurity and poverty in the region rather than engaging in partisan political battles.
