IGP Orders DIG Nadada to Manage Kaduna Security Operations

Following a terror attack on April 5 at the ECWA Catholic Church in Ariko Village near Gurara Dam, which left five people dead and 14 others abducted, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has directed Deputy Inspector General Shehu Nadada to relocate to Kaduna State. Nadada is tasked with coordinating security operations in response to the incident. The police have deployed a joint team, including the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS), to assess the situation and restore order. During ongoing operations, seven kidnapped victims were successfully rescued and taken to Katari Hospital for medical attention. The IGP has urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to provide credible information. The article also briefly mentions ongoing security operations in Zamfara State targeting banditry, but these details are not the primary focus of the story.
