Nigerian Army Schedules Night Live Firing Exercise

The Nigerian Army, through the 14 Brigade headquartered in Ebem Ohafia, Abia State, has issued a notification regarding an upcoming night live firing exercise. This exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, March 30, to Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The announcement was made in a press release signed by Captain Muyiwa Ayara, on behalf of the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations. The exercise aims to enhance the efficiency of the Nigerian Army's fight and improve the night operational capabilities of its personnel.

The Army has urged the public, particularly residents of the surrounding communities, not to panic upon hearing gunshots during this period, emphasizing that these sounds will be part of routine training. Additionally, the Army has warned unauthorized individuals, especially hunters, to stay away from the shooting range throughout the duration of the exercise for safety reasons.

The Army reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property and expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and understanding of the residents.
